On February 13, 2024, as the Junior Olympics draw near, Fair Fencing Organization (FFO) successfully organized another free seminar titled "Get Prepared Before Tournament," featuring a presentation by Coach Yuanjing Wang. With an advanced degree in fencing and over 50 years of experience in the sport, Mr. Wang is a highly respected figure as an internationally recognized fencer, referee, and coach. Notably, as a former foil athlete, he has garnered numerous national medals, including Chinese National Foil Champion. Mr. Wang has served as a referee for the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. Prior to joining the Birmingham Fencing Club in 1998, he served as a coach for the Chinese National Fencing Team. Throughout his 25-year tenure in the US,  student of Mr. Wang have attained numerous championship titles and top-eight medals in various national tournaments across all three weapons.

This informative session lasted over three hours, during which over two dozen questions were raised by the audience. Coach Wang generously shared his knowledge and experience without reservation, emphasizing the importance of studying the USA Fencing Rulebook, addressing questions concerning youth fencers, offering guidance on how parents can be supportive and beyond. The seminar was conducted in Mandarin Chinese but included English translation.
